12/30/12    A Report from Jesse on GP-10

Back from my trip to Lake Havasu City. It was great visiting with Dean Rojas and family, as well as crew chief Rich Hallett. I had a lot of great conversations with both individuals over my week long stay. As if I wasn’t already excited enough about the the upcoming season, I’m even more pumped now! I think we’ve got a great core group making up the team, with more to come.

It was to nice to get out of the Seattle clouds for a bit and catch a little vitamin D. Although most of the time spend in Arizona was all business working on the boat in the shop. Primarily getting the bottom of the boat ready for paint so we can start on the top side. Also started prepping the new cowlings and getting them fitted to the hull. We’re going to go with a few changes to the cowling design for next year. What might these changes be? You’ll just have to find out
at the Havasu World Cup!

Last week we got the bottom of GP 10 painted and ready to turn her over to start on the top side. The bottom turned out awesome…………..Last night we turned the freak right side up and back on the dolly. It is so nice to have her back where she belongs. Now we will finish the rest of the sanding and body work and will have her painted back to her original color in no time.
