Seattle- Racing fans will feel the noise of Grand Prix West (GPW) teams at Seafair for the next three years as both organizations finalize an agreement to bring the supercharged automotive-powered boats to the Lake Washington event.
“We are excited to develop a long term strategy with Seafair and our teams are very excited to bring our “noise” to the show, “ said Sam Cole, CEO of Grand Prix West. “Seafair is the pinnacle of boat racing events and GPW couldn’t be happier than to be a part of it.”
Teams will compete this year from August 5-7 at the event which is televised and streamed ive on KIRO-TV and race fans can expect a very competitive fleet of entrants vying for the Graham Trucking Trophy championship.
Cole added that GPW’s presence will extend beyond the racing activities and include a footprint for fans with an interactive display to better engage race goers with the supercharged automotive powerboat series.
GPW opens its season officially at the Tri Cities Water Follies July 29-31. The event will be streamed and broadcast by KNDU-TV.
