Norm Evans Memorial Apple Cup
Thunderous GP racing at its best will be on hand at beautiful Lake Chelan on September 22-23, 2012. The course size will be either a 1 mile or 1 1/4 mile size course. Both sizes will be surveyed and will have the distinction of being able to host record speeds. Last year at this race the GP-12 team with Greg Hopp driving established a new record taking away the old record from Bert Henderson driving the GP-777 back east. Any one of the teams expected to compete this year are capable of establishing a new record and will provide exciting racing action.
The teams expecting to make an appearance are: GP-12, GP-15, GP-17, GP-19, GP-43 and GP-55. GP-60 was expecting to make an appearance but is siting engine issues from their last race at Spanaway, WA and will not compete.
